The Great Agon

An 'agon' is the Ancient Greek word for a contest or struggle. At school this term there will be a contest of sorts for all students across all years. It is very open and entries can take any form, as long as the piece (be it a poem, an invention, a play, a song, a film, a history essay (!)) finds its roots in Homer's Iliad. The only caveat (the to be wary of) is make sure you use the Iliad as a starting point and not the Odyssey. We are saving that for a rainy day. Obviously there is some cross over but no Circes or Cyclopes please.

The deadline for entries will be posted shortly. There will be an exhibition and performance towards the end of term, date to be confirmed.
